About the Role We are seeking an SPC Supply Chain Analyst for our client, a global organization operating within the healthcare and medical technology industry. This role supports supply chain operations by managing intercompany orders, monitoring inventory and shipments, resolving order-related issues, and maintaining reporting processes across multiple supply chain functions.
The ideal candidate will bring knowledge of supply chain principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience working with enterprise systems and Microsoft applications. This position works independently within established procedures and priorities while collaborating with internal teams to support efficient order fulfillment and supply chain operations.
Job Description As an SPC Supply Chain Analyst, you will support day-to-day supply chain activities involving order management, demand planning, inventory management, transportation, and reporting. You will manage international intercompany orders between internal plants and distribution centers, track order progress, investigate discrepancies, and help resolve exceptions that may affect fulfillment.
Responsibilities include: - Manage intercompany orders, including international orders between internal plants and distribution centers.
- Process order entries, inquiries, change requests, and exceptions.
- Investigate order status and provide updates as needed.
- Identify and resolve shipment discrepancies and back-order situations.
- Manage reporting processes related to demand planning, order management, inventory management, and financial reporting.
- Follow established procedures across supply chain functions, including supply planning, warehousing, transportation, inventory and materials control, and import/export activities.
- Utilize tracking systems to monitor progress and report results.
- Apply analytical skills to interpret information, evaluate variables, draw conclusions, and assess alternative solutions.
- Work independently within established guidelines and priorities set by management.
- Share knowledge and supply chain best practices within the work group.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders regarding orders, shipments, inventory, and related supply chain activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Qualifications: - Must be within current commuting distance of Forest City, IA
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience in areas such as supply chain or customer service.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain principles and practices, including areas such as supply planning, warehousing, transportation, inventory/materials control, and import/export.
- Experience with computer programs and corporate systems relevant to supply chain or order management responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret information, examine variables, draw conclusions, and evaluate alternative approaches.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both written and verbal settings.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures, priorities, and general guidance.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track order activity, progress, and results.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience using SAP ERP or JDA.
- Previous experience supporting supply chain, order management, inventory management, demand planning, logistics, or customer service operations.
- Experience managing intercompany or international orders.
- Experience investigating shipment discrepancies, back orders, or other order fulfillment exceptions.
- Familiarity with supply chain reporting and tracking systems.
