We are looking for an astute, savvy person to pull financial reports for current construction jobs from accounting software (SAGE), organize and calculate receipts (accounts receivable), send out monthly invoices (accounts payable), and assist with other office needs.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable: Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, including receipts, invoices, delivery tickets, etc. to ensure timely and accurate payments;
• Accounts Receivable: Issue monthly invoices, cut checks;
• Prepare and post journal entries for accurate financial records;
• Provide administrative support to the team by handling various clerical tasks;
• Manage office filing systems and maintain organized records;
• Answer phone calls, take messages and direct inquiries to the appropriate person;
• Utilize computer skills to create and update documents and spreadsheets.

Qualifications /Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAGE 100 Contractor experience is a plus)
• Previous experience as an assistant, in a clerical role, or at a construction company preferred
• Computer proficiency in Windows, Adobe Acrobat Pro , Microsoft Word and advanced Excel
• Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent attention to detail for proofreading financial documents
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has strong computer skills.

Requirements:

• 7 years office experience
• College degree
• Valid driver’s license

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: Monday – Thursday, 6-hr shift, flexible hours - More hours may be available per current project load.

Pay: $23 - $28 per hour. Salary commensurate with experience, generous bonuses.
